Pros

I had the opportunity to work for this company for some time and one of the things that stood out to me was the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone on the team. Whenever I had questions or needed help with something, my colleagues were always happy to lend a hand. Another perk of working at this company was the free breakfast every Wednesday. It may seem like a small thing, but it was a nice way to start the day and it showed that the company cared about its employees' well-being. Finally, I also appreciated that the company hosted parties with food for special events. It was a great way to celebrate accomplishments and connect with colleagues outside of work.

Cons

worked at this company for a while and unfortunately, I can't say I had a great experience. One of the biggest issues was the quality of the code. While I understood that the legacy platform had some issues, it was disappointing to see that the new code was just as bad, if not worse. There was a lot of copy-pasting from the legacy platform, and custom libraries were created that didn't work well and were only maintained by a few people. In addition, there were a lot of issues with basic developer tools. It seemed like they were down almost every week, which made it difficult to get work done efficiently. I also felt that as a developer, I wasn't empowered to make decisions or learn new things. I was encouraged to stick with old frameworks, even when they weren't the best option. Lastly, I was hired as a remote employee, but I felt that the managers tried to guilt trip me into coming into the office. This was frustrating and made it difficult to balance my work and personal life. Overall, while there were some positives about the company, I would caution potential employees to be aware of these issues and to carefully consider whether this is the right place for them.

Pros

Great culture and team. The new management is really good and are invested in our growth and lots of investment in technology and product. I see a lot of opportunities to grow.

Cons

Keeping the Chicago office would have been nice, understand most of the employee choose to work remote and no one is going to office that often.
