Flexible remote work but staffing issues cause stress - schedule coordinator Envision Healthcare Employee Review

Pros

Flexibility, remote work, no micro managing, the pay was really good and my teammates were easy to work with definitely a positive work environment

Cons

They didn’t have enough providers credentialed for each facility’s needs. They would credential one provider for like 5 facilities but the provider would mainly work at one or two. So it was stressful trying to schedule providers when we weren’t technically fully staffed, although on paper and during the company meetings it looked like the facilities were fully staffed but they indeed were not which could cause a tremendous amount of stress on the scheduler. I previously worked for Schumacher too and some providers were across credentialed. It was only for like two facilities and they work to make sure that we were credentialing providers based on the scheduling needs not the number of people credentialed at the facility if that makes sense if you’re an experienced scheduler, you understand what I’m talking about. Also, there were no incentives or bonuses offered for scheduling and closing these shifts in advance like at my previous company that I worked at and also the pay is hourly, not salaried and considering that this is a job where you work every time you have an open shift this should be a salaried position.
