Business Outlook

Pros

Total Compensation package is good. Flexible work hours and location. Managers pretty much let you create your own schedule and work from where you want to as long as you are getting your job done. Direct manager really cares about his team and will take the time to mentor them. Company will give you as much responsibility as you want to sign up for. Newer industry so technology is still evolving which is interesting.

Cons

Significant distrust between operations and capital projects team due to past (>2 years) events. You have to CYA yourself in everything you do. People will throw other people under the bus at the first chance they get. This cultural behavor goes all the way up to senior leadership. All company decisions are made by the operations department. Not a whole lot of collaboration between different departments. There is a lot of turnover due to burn out or feeling unappreciated for the time and effort they put in. A lot of decisions seem to be based on people's opinion instead of data.
