Pros

The majority of the people who work in our division are professional, driven and want to do well in their respective roles. It is a family-friendly environment with good work/life balance and flexible work schedules.

Cons

There are limited opportunities for professional growth. In Fortune 500 companies where I have been employed previously, there was encouragement and assistance to enhance your professional knowledge and skills. As well, there were defined career paths within the organization so that one could understand how to grow within company doing what they enjoy. you will not find this at Equifax. They have talked about this in the past, and realize it is an issue, but have yet to take visible steps to correct the situation. Due to that, people are jaded or leaving for other opportunities.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
