Pros
Equinix is your standard "great culture, avg pay" company. Their pay is mediocre but they make up for it in culture. The management team is very good and relaxed. This is great company to coast at if you're looking for a 9 to 5 job. Overall, great for people with kids or mid/late in their careers
Cons
There's really only two main Cons. 1. First, this is a small company, only a few thousand employees (globally combined, even less in US). This means there aren't a lot of internal opportunities for vertical promotions to other teams. The pay is also average but acceptable. 2. For some reason, the management team here is really proud of working here. They make it sound like they work at Google. Let me be clear, NOBODY has hard of Equinix. When I was interviewing for other jobs, people regularly thought I worked at Equinox. So adding "Equinix" to your resume is the same as adding a startup to your resume. Zero brand value. 1 year at a FAANG is worth 10 years here. If this is something that's important to you, then skip Equinix. But again, if you're looking for a relaxed place to work, Equinix is good.
