Pros

Good salary and benefits. Real work. making sure that electricity flows 24x7. Good job satisfaction. Good work life balance. No travel. Decent job security if you keep doing your job. They do focus a lot on your physical health. There is a walking trail and they keep reminding you about doing exercises.

Cons

Very poor networking opportunity. You are out there in the rural area that it is difficult to network with others. Very operations oriented work that it can get monotonous after sometime.

-From a Power Systems perspective the job provides unique exposures as the ISO operates the entire Interconnection as it's a small island unlike the Eastern and Western interconnections. -Low and Middle management do in fact listen to their employees. -Work culture promotes flexibility and freedom as long as we deliver results. -Work/life balance is generally good compared to other companies.

Cons

-Pay could be better given industry strandard. -Depending on your department lots of after hours working during projects outside the regular job duties. -Referencing the aforementioned con, work/life balance can be poor during projects.
