Pros

Nodal provides a challenging, changing enviornment. Excellent stepping-stone for career advancement. Incredible amount to learn.

Cons

I'm pretty sure Taylor, TX is the sixth ring of hell. Pay is slightly sub-par. HR is crap (true everywhere), but is making an effort to be slightly less soul crushing. Not a high-performance culture. Groups are silos. Little opportunities to network.

-From a Power Systems perspective the job provides unique exposures as the ISO operates the entire Interconnection as it's a small island unlike the Eastern and Western interconnections. -Low and Middle management do in fact listen to their employees. -Work culture promotes flexibility and freedom as long as we deliver results. -Work/life balance is generally good compared to other companies.

Cons

-Pay could be better given industry strandard. -Depending on your department lots of after hours working during projects outside the regular job duties. -Referencing the aforementioned con, work/life balance can be poor during projects.
