Pros

Coming at this from a student who received an internship offer out of college - cool company to work for, lots of innovation and keeps up with the times. Great benefits. Loved my day to day work. They give you a cool office depending on your team.

Cons

Well...first off their new post covid policies require you to move to Redlands, an absolute dead spot if you're in your 20s, expensive and they don't pay enough to keep up with cost of living and inflation. I appreciate the move to in person, but it can't come at that much of a cost, not worth it. Management depends on your team, I thought my manager was great at first, then I could see their shortcomings of being a new manager (They were promoted to a manager as soon as I was hired): low level of support, constantly asking superiors on how to lead, not to mention an unfair team dynamic (Esri pretty much picks and chooses who gets to work in office, remote, different locations) very inconsistent with teams. They moved me across the country and for 3 years I was sitting in an office while essentially my entire team were working from remote locations, I got very little in person support. They like to brag about employee appreciation when in reality they don't REALLY care. Not to mention you'll basically be stuck in your position for years unless you get lucky to move up. ESRI have also been cutting costs, what was once a company wide attendance for the User Conference has now been diminished to a few senior positions per team, which is ridiculous in my opinion. They also have very little training resources, but again, this depends highly on which team you're a part of. TLDR: The culture sucks. But if you're okay with living in Redlands and drink the company kool aid, this place could be for you.

Pros

Esri pays your health insurance. A few extra holidays that other companies may not offer.

Cons

-Below average pay for California. Already a struggle living out here due to cost of living. -Support services is a mess. We have to bend over backwards for customers always teetering on scope of support. Might as not even have those guidelines anymore if it's a constant battle for internal resources to back you. -Constant releases of software that breaks customer workflows. Too many bugs. Lack of QA. -Whats the point of middle management if all decisions have to come from higher ups that have no understanding of supports day by day. -Unwillingness to let senior employees work from home. And if you do work from home they hold it against you if you want to apply to an internal position. Almost like a thinly veiled threat. -Other teams feel the need to steam roll support sometimes, often leading to fragmented relationships. -Lastly there is way too much work and never enough people.
