Pros
No one does any work so the job is easy, managers constantly shifting priorities and dreaming up useless projects that dissolve after a few weeks every single time.
Cons
Revolving door at all levels of the organization from the C-Suite to warehouse workers. I joined the company with a newly formed team because Essendant fired the previous analytics department. Mind boggling amount of technical debt at all levels of the organization. Essendant employs hundreds of managers yet shells out millions of $ on supply chain consulting services. You would think one of the countless $100k+ managers would be able to lead a project internally. Essendant laid off 80% of the supply chain department and then failed to pay out the severance. Every single one of my coworkers has had to follow up to ensure the payment that was promised to them. So many employees of 10+ years fired without notice. Essendant is also getting sued for closing one of their NJ warehouses without 60 days notice. I really cannot stress enough how unorganized and apathetic this company is. This place is an absolute dumpster fire.
