Pros
-I got paid decently well for the job I did. -Most of the people I worked with directly are lovely, though many of them have disappeared.
Cons
-Enormous swathes of the company were laid off with no notice (some were also laid off with notice). This includes people who had been there for 30 years, people who were extremely knowledgeable, people who were relied upon. This has led to previously-solved processes and procedures being handled by people who have never done them before, trying to pick up the pieces. -As a byproduct of the above, other very talented people have also left voluntarily, compounding the effects. Many teams are short-staffed, stressed, and have very low morale. -People were laid off whose manager wasn't even made aware. They found out when the employee didn't show up for a meeting. -After 4 years of working remotely, all employees forced to return to office no matter what agreement you had when you were hired. No concrete reasons were given. Some teams have remote members in another part of the country, so team meetings still need to be virtual. But if you are unfortunate enough to live close enough to the FSC, you have to come in. No "increased collaboration" has been facilitated, just shove people in a building and assume that will help something. -Merit increase for 2022 did not remotely keep up with inflation. No merit increase given for 2023. Bonuses used to exist, but no longer do. You can have glowing reviews year after year with nothing to show for it. -Employer decreased 401k contribution matching from 4% to 3% -Numerous meetings with various different teams all say that one team in particular, the merchant team, causes the majority of their issues, but there are no consequences for them, attempts on their part to learn more or improve, or steps taken by higher ups to correct the issues. -I could honestly keep going, but the points would get increasingly specific and less helpful to a person in general.
