Pros

One of the things I love most about EverCharge is that there's a lot of professional autonomy. At least in engineering, it doesn't matter if your an intern or industry veteran, its a place where good ideas win. No politics, no "you can't do that because it would step on another teams' toes", no "hmm, good idea, let's put it in the backlog and see if we ever get to it." If it makes the product better, solves a customer pain point, or if makes it easier to deliver better service, you can just go build it and get it in the next release. This is becoming a place more and more where taking initiative and doing the work is something that is recognized and rewarded.

Cons

I guess this is true for the EV / EVSE industry as a whole, but there is a bit of a mindset of "let's just hunker down and ride out this downturn." Not that we can't build things, hire, or do good work, but I'm surprised that SK, with as deep of pockets as they have, are reluctant to make more of an investment when all of our competition is flailing. Also, the managerial class LOVES to just hear them selves talk, meetings run for hours, and too many engineering decisions are made by committee of non-engineers. Its easier to just to do the work and show the finished product than it is to ask for approval.

Pros

Flexible work schedule. Smart management team. Great co-workers. Freedom to Innovate.

Cons

2025 has been a tumultuous time for all companies in green tech. The current administration's aggressive dislike for EVs has impacted the market. This has lead to inevitable downsizing as macro-economic trends impact companies in the green sector.
