Pros

ED and DON are both very kind but are underwater struggling to keep residents and families happy due to staffing shortages in every department.

Cons

This particular facility has created numerous mid level “management “ positions that focus on telling the floor nurses “who are stretched thin often covering two halls” what they’ve missed or aren’t doing correctly. Facility struggles with staffing from nursing down to dietary.

We take your concerns about management, workload, and communication seriously. Your suggestions regarding contract team, unit manager involvement, and wound care processes are noted and will be reviewed. We appreciate your honesty and are committed to strengthening support for both staff and residents.

Pros

One of the best parts of working as an Activity Assistant is seeing the smiles on my residents' faces. It's absolutely heartwarming and brings me so much happiness knowing I can make a positive difference in their day. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

Cons

One of the hardest parts of working as an Activity Assistant is watching residents decline in health or lose their independence. It can be emotionally difficult to build close relationships and then experience loss. Some days are physically and mentally exhausting, but despite the challenges, being able to bring comfort, joy, and companionship to my residents makes it all worthwhile.
