Pros
- They often use the teller position as a feeder position into member service/corporate roles - They seemed to be accomodating regarding requests to transfer to different locations.
Cons
- Corporate would occasionally implement new workplace procedures that were cumbersome and impractical, sometimes with little to no justification - Tellers are kept on a relatively short leash and are given fairly little autonomy over check approvals, etc. even several into their employment with TCU. - TCU overhauls their product offerings too frequently yet rarely forces members to convert their accounts. I would regularly receive questions regarding obscure checking/saving accounts that had been discontinued many years before I started. - Tellers were somewhat underpaid and member service personnel were wildly underpaid relative to what other places were paying.
