Pros

The company was great when it was smaller. They sell you on the mission when you start, which is great but unfortunately they don’t follow it. Accessible education, yes. Affordable? Not at all. Not to mention we’ve saturated the market and compete against ourselves. Between Admissions and ClinEd sites, there will be a point where people no longer partner with the company. Reddit posts from students now saying how these programs aren’t worth it are solidifying my desire to leave. The culture WAS incredible but it’s completely gone. Benefits can be decent. Everything that was great is no longer here, everything else has gone downhill.

Cons

Compensation is terrible. Everyone is sorely underpaid for what’s expected. The bonus opportunity is a waste. You will never get 100% and this year the bonuses came in June when they should’ve been paid out in March. You will absolutely not be promoted unless you are a suck up. If you’re not the favorite, don’t even try to apply for other positions. Leadership is great at managing people out. There is no HR presence, so take what you want with that. In my opinion it’s why Senior leadership is even worse. There is no such thing as an open door policy or innovation. The only people that cared about how employees felt are gone. This company has become corporate and leadership does not want your opinion. In fact, you can fired for your opinion. This place is like a high school boarding school. I can’t reiterate enough that the culture is dead. Just because you do a Halloween contest, does not mean the company is fun. It’s no longer safe to make an error, mistakes are red dots on your forehead. I’ve never been more disappointed in senior leadership than I am at this company who I’ve seen fail so many people. CEO approval? What ceo, dude never shows his face in office, I’ve seen him maybe once. This company makes you feel like you are replaceable and you are, which is why I’m applying for other jobs along with the 10 other people I know trying to leave.

Pros

Working at Evidence In Motion offers strong exposure to higher education marketing, complex paid search account management, and meaningful lead generation tied to healthcare education programs. It provides the opportunity to manage diverse university portfolios, build strategic campaign frameworks, collaborate cross-functionally, and strengthen reporting, analytics, and performance optimization skills. For a paid search professional, EIM is a strong environment for developing both tactical execution and higher-level marketing strategy.

Cons

The main cons of working at Evidence In Motion are poorly compensation and benefits, the high account volume, complex stakeholder environment, heavy reporting requirements, and limited control over certain parts of the full enrollment funnel. Paid search performance can be heavily influenced by landing pages, admissions follow-up, seasonality, program deadlines, CRM attribution, and overall lead management, which can make the role demanding, reactive, and difficult to measure accurately. Additional concerns include leadership instability, the possibility of internal teams being replaced by outside agencies, and senior decision-makers not fully understanding the seasonality and complexity of higher education marketing. There can also be a disconnect between marketing metrics and actual enrollment outcomes, especially when leadership prioritizes lead volume over lead quality. This shift can result in more low-intent leads that do not convert into applications, interviews, acceptances, or seat deposits, while also placing more pressure on admissions teams and weakening the overall business impact of paid media.
