Pros

We used to have unlimited PTO, were classified as salaried rather than hourly employees, had other perks such as comp days for holiday time worked, spot bonuses, etc., but those have all been changed. The only pro at this point is working from home.

Cons

Previously salaried employees were made hourly, and PTO became limited and heavily monitored by supervisors. The company uses employee monitoring software, and relies on its data in weekly productivity reports/for bonuses. Annual salary percentage-based bonuses were replaced with bi-annual small bonuses capped off at $1250 pre-tax. Supervisors are often passive aggressive with employees, leading to a negative work environment. There are very frequent layoffs, which gave me a daily sense of uneasiness; I have never worked for a company before where I wasn't sure if I would still have a job on a daily basis. I felt relieved to finally be laid off in the latest round of company-wide layoffs.
