Pros
Hired in under loan services, I excelled in my position. Management was great, good team of hardworking people from my level on up. Management was never scared to dig in and help get the job done. After years in the industry I sought out another department not different than what I had previously done. Yet again, came into it with a desire to succeed. The management team at the time was still awesome. They again didn't expect us to do anything they wouldn't do. They cared for their people. There was a great home and work balance among so many other pros. Current day, there really are none, besides the few awesome coworker friends I've made.
Cons
What happened? Executive management changed. New CEO came in. Irving underwriters were working ridiculous hours to make up for job cuts across the US. Over half the company was laid off. The other half took massive pay cuts. They started hiring people that have no experience and paying them more than the experienced people, the ones that are training these inexperienced people. Know what the CEO says. "Experience doesn't matter!" Why, because they think the computer can do the job better than the people that built this company.
