Pros
Many of the "regular" employees /customers are capable, and if willing, you could work independently to help those people perform their jobs.
Cons
Too many novice supervisors and managers who ignore, or worse, defend and promote people who probably should be fired. The outgoing CIO and underling should've been fired years ago due to technical incompetency and complete and utter apathy, respectively. Between the other talking heads who try to convince IT professionals that we are "not IT professionals, but energy employees who just happen to perform IT functions" is laughable at best, and insulting at worst. Finally, if you are female, you are subjugated by right-wing, religious men who are outward hostile to the idea that a woman can actually be assets to the organization. Instead, many of the female employees are looked down upon since many of those "leaders" still feel that the only place for women is at home with children.
