Supportive WFH culture but limited flexibility - Data Modeling Analyst Experian Employee Review

Pros

Good work environment and culture overall, with motivated peers and significant opportunity for lateral moves within the organization, perfect for professionals early in their career or still searching for the line of work that's right for them. The entire organization is remote, so RTO is never a concern, and collaboration with global colleagues is a regular occurrence. Several opportunities exist for good performance to be recognized in front of & by top executives.

Cons

With the scale of the organization, requests to IT or HR can feel like a black box. Very little wiggle-room is available to individuals to negotiate compensation or job expectations, and managers (even at or above Director level) have little say in compensation decisions. The bonus structure is based on the overall organization's performance combined with individual performance, and as such it is possible to end up with a sub-par bonus even as a top performer. Due to the multi-industry nature of Experian, disparate business units can frequently feel like they're competing for resources rather than collaborating.

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.
