Pros

Pros: - Paid weekly - Lots of opportunities for overtime - Commission - If you're good with people and know how not to take things personally, this is a very easy job.

Cons

First and foremost, this is a call center. A boys club call center. What that means is you are glued to your phones and pauses (a pause being to get out of queue for a minute to take notes or better assist a company) are audited. Alright, makes sense. The turnover is insane because management prioritizes money over their employee's well-being. If you're at all good at this job, you will be expected to take on extra work. You will be promised promotions and then pushed aside because there are too many calls to take. Lunch breaks will be taken away due to a high volume of calls. It is grilled into our brain to UPSELL UPSELL UPSELL and you're dinged if you don't. However, I was refused to be given commissioned I earned due to a slight clerical error. The training is terrible. All of the team leads/supervisors have left within a couple of months because this place is just managed SO poorly. I've since gotten out of the call center world and have found something I am more passionate about. That being said, I know customer service. I was great at this job. Ultimately, it was the lack of respect, lack of transparency, dishonesty, and constant anxiety that made me finally start applying elsewhere. Oh, and you're required to work weekends unless you don't mind working a mid-day/evening shift. Good luck having any time off approved.
