Pros

- tons of free products - lots of amazing free snacks - friendly and welcoming corporate culture - everyone knows everyone - flat org. hierarchy - easy to approach anyone - owners are very supportive, encouraging, and welcoming - great transparency - personal use of company cellphone - professional training & development programs for employees - extensive healthcare coverage & benefits (one of the best) - great sense of teamwork and belonging - makes you feel like family - excellent equipment and facilities - lively lounge with unlimited cappuccino/ latte machine/ Starbucks coffee - WorkPerks incentives - giveaways for game tickets & other prizes

Cons

- zero privacy - low pay for salaried corporate employees in the long run in comparison to other CPGs - don't expect a high-skilled, ambitious/ career-driven professional to last more than 2-3 years - most employees are obligated to work well beyond their regular "9-5" hours without overtime pay - if you have a company cellphone, you are indirectly expected to be on-call 24/7 - low bonus incentives - low flexibility to work from home - not much work-life balance (even though they advertise it to you) - very low yearly salary increases - they will advertise internal company promotions, but if they don't want you to leave your position (even if it is for your growth), they will find an excuse to not promote you - lots of micro-management

Thank you for your review. FGF is a rapidly growing organization, and we do say that our company is not for everyone. Because of this rapid growth, we work hard to ensure we hire the resources we need to support our teams and we invest in leadership development for our Team Members. We are very proud of our diversity, and the opportunities for advancement we provide to all team members. We have a strong commitment to “home-grown talent”, and our goal is to keep communication transparent and ensure that everyone knows what challenges we face as a growing organization, and that everyone has an equal opportunity to develop their career with us. We thank you for the time you spent with us.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Flexible hybrid work.

Cons

Constant layoffs. I was laid off 7 months after starting, while on a business trip in a Kroger parking lot, with no explanation given. Layoff process was pathetic, no communication and had to threaten a lawyer to receive my severance payout. American politics are often discussed by Canadian upper management. Foul, unprofessional language is frequently used. Very unprofessional, unstable work environment. I would recommend looking anywhere else for employment.
