Pros

Fake values and culture posted on every wall

Cons

The most bigoted place I have ever worked, management constantly harassing people for their race and gender.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and concerns. First, let me say thank you for working at the Bank for over eight years. For the last few years, we’ve been working hard to build a safe, inclusive and diverse workplace. Anything less than that is unacceptable and inconsistent with our core values. Period. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is unwavering. And, our focus on diversity goes far beyond race, gender and ethnicity. We value all people – their backgrounds, thoughts, experiences and ideas – that’s what makes FHLB Des Moines great. I’d really appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further – I have an open door and an eagerness to listen. If you’re willing, I’d like to start there. Cons

Unsure of advancement opportunities. Compliance and regulations (FHFA is regulator) are onerous.

Thank you for your review. The work we do for our members gives us a shared sense of purpose. And while we aren't a huge organization with endless opportunities to advance, we are a great mid-sized company with endless opportunities to develop!
