Pros
The healthcare practice is small which allows for the opportunity to experience a wide variety of projects within an autonomous/self-motivated environment.
Cons
Internal communication and leadership is very poor. Support from an HR perspective is limited so any issues/questions related to pay, staff, etc. go unresolved for unacceptable amounts of time. Annual bonuses are "discretionary" and parameters for obtaining a discretionary bonus are not communicated or documented. Overall performance management functions are very "loose" with many employees not having an assigned coach, project evaluations never conducted, and annual evaluation and compensation processes unclear and not formalized. The business development process does not have clear ownership and all employees are encouraged to sell but not compensated for sales or add-on work. Employee departures and terminations are not communicated in a formal or consistent manner. Project pipelines are not managed well resulting in many employees on the bench for lengthy amounts of time.
