Pros
The benefits are excellent, especially health insurance. They partner with a lot of other companies that have extra perks, like getting points for certain activities that turn into cash deposits into your HSA. The office space is comfortable. They generally have a good work-life balance, It's never a problem to leave work to take care of your kids or doctor appointments, or emergencies. As long as your work is done on time, it's ok to take care of personal business.
Cons
Office politics are horrible in the Bentonville and Valhalla offices. Senior management has poor leadership skills and micromanage outside of their area of knowledge. There are no opportunities for advancement in most positions. Promotions happen by appointment instead of posting and interviewing. There is inconsistency in treatment of employees, people with amazing knowledge from decades-long time with the company are largely blown off/dismissed and so overloaded with work PTO is not able to be used, but others with little time with the company take weeks of PTO before they had a chance to accrue them. There is blatant fraternization with customers, which is against company policy.
