Pros

Hybrid Schedule Helpful team members

Cons

- Meeting with CEO are unbearable, you are berated anytime your business is down to LY. Meetings are ridiculously long with no prioritization. Prepare to spend 8 hours or more at a time in CEO meetings with ‘bio breaks’ only. Absolutely no respect for time and that you have a job to do beyond the long meetings. - Old metrics are leading all decisions. - Resource challenges are faced throughout the company. Anyone director or above is so stretched, they don’t have time for you. - outsourced all coordinators to India and there is extreme turnover so you spend so much time training new outsourced employees.

Cons

Leadership & Culture Leadership operates in a fear-based environment where employees feel pressured to comply with directives — even questionable ones — out of concern for job security. There is little psychological safety to push back or offer alternative perspectives. Innovation & Strategy The company heavily relies on prior-year benchmarks with minimal appetite for experimentation or fresh thinking. The marketing team in particular tends to recycle strategies rather than develop new creative approaches, leaving the brand feeling stagnant. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion During COVID-19, senior leadership — including the CEO — failed to demonstrate empathy or awareness toward Asian employees during a period of heightened racial tension. This tone from the top had a lasting impact on trust and morale. Brand & Influencer Relations The company's reluctance to take a stance on key cultural and social moments cost them meaningful influencer partnerships. In an era where brand authenticity matters, the silence was noticed — and acted upon. Workload & Resources Employees are regularly given heavy workloads without the tools, headcount, or support needed to execute effectively. Much of the effort feels performative rather than impactful, leading to burnout and disengagement. Career Growth Advancement tends to favor those at the top rather than the people driving day-to-day results. Contributions from individual contributors often go unrecognized in terms of promotion or compensation. Team Dynamics The internal culture is highly competitive in an unhealthy way — colleagues are more likely to deflect blame than collaborate, creating a siloed and politically charged work environment.
