Pros
The people are amazing. FairWarning spends a lot of time vetting candidates before hiring. While this process can seem a little excessive what you end up getting are people who want to be there and strive to work hard. You're at work 8 plus hours a day, if you don't like your co-workers it's a problem. You will not find that here. The opportunity to learn, grow and push your comfort zone are all available. This is not a place to hide or blend in, you have a room of top performers that are team players.
Cons
Have you ever walked into a situation and thought there was something a bit off? This is that place. Leadership tends to keep things close to the chest and despite all hands meetings every Monday there is a sincere lack that transparency perceived. This company is ran by a family. They are all extremely capable but there is no HR, no employee advocates and no way to mediate with management should a need arise. Everyone is cheerful but below the surface it feels as if you could get fired at any moment without recourse. This has been touched in other posts but the CEO can put people in uncomfortable positions where he looks like he is bullying them. I was never sure if he could see this or not but there was an extreme blind spot when it came to employees. It did not seem as if he or senior leadership trusted anyone. This could be a result of the industry they are in but there was a total lack of trust perceived. The company will tout that it is profitable and growing. This may be true but sales have slacked. This could be a result of a changing industry or something more but that decline in sales had a negative impact on the psyche of the workforce. If I could sum up my time here it was one where I learned something new everyday but also watched leadership degrade and minimize the workforce. The new hires are mostly young , right out of school. Not a bad thing but those with experience seem to spend time and leave as soon as they can. It doesn't have anything to do with loyalty it has to do with the total lack of respect given to the employees.
