Pros
There are a lot of good people that you will enjoy working with. Most people work togather seamlessly to make eachothers days easier. Fairview RNs are part of the MNA Union and boy do they go to bat for you. The 2022 contract we strikes for improved patient safety with one being safer nurse :patient ratios. They also secured around a 20% increase in hourly pay over the 3 years of the contract. 12 hour shifts, plus they like to hire you on as a .75 FTE. You end up working 3 shifts 1 week 2 shifts for the following, so you get plenty of time off.
Cons
You have to be part of the MNA Union to work as a contracted RN. Hard to get ride of terrible nurses. You basically have to kill a patient to get fired
