The entry level tier of tech office perks are covered: snacks, casual dress, free buffet style lunch twice a week, the occasional party and company swag. It's nothing like like the googles of the world or even the video game industry, but it's better than the traditional corporate experience. Benefits rock thanks to attachment to Comcast. Career-wise, there is a lot of churn happening here. Struggle creates opportunity for learning through change management. Those looking for solid experience and willing to get their hands dirty to get it could pull a great deal of career growth from a job at Fandango.

OOF. Fandango is going through a real rough spot. This is an organization in quiet chaos that is bubbling to explode. Acquisitions followed by layoffs, a hiring freeze and half-baked reorganization have left many teams in a state of daily confusion that is stunning to behold. Talented people are stretched beyond their wits trying to keep the trains moving while the bosses appear completely detached from the fundamentals of their teams. President Paul Yanover is a solid leader but the team of execs that surround him make you wonder if he's paying attention. There is an egregious lack of women at the leadership level. A solid stream of highly competent women have been stuck at the Sr Manager to Director tier for years while their male peers are promoted annually. Many gave up and left within the last two years and those who remain are at a tipping point. Recruiters and competitors, take note: you could likely poach any senior level woman that works here as almost all of them are actively looking or open to leaving. HR rules with an iron fist. Most after work drinks among employees are peppered with stories of punitive corrections that would make most employment lawyers flinch. Finally, the admin and facilities team here is stretched to the point of tyranny, sending punishing emails straight out of office space while openly sighing and eye rolling in the face of any employee who dares to ask for assistance or, god forbid, hands in a form late after working 80 hours a week for 6 months. If you're considering a job here, think long and hard about it. Do your homework, mine your network for intel and dig deep into your future manager and peers during the hiring process to the degree that you can. The quality of teams and leadership here varies drastically. If you feel a red flag, listen to it.
