Pros

FPI is a great place to work. We are experiencing atmospheric growth while remaining true to our mission; to be the best technology partner to the Farm Credit System. The culture is fun and loose while the company employs some of the best and brightest technical and administrative people. The work / life balance is excellent. FPI doesn't ask people to punch a clock. If you're in IT you must be prepared for overtime and weekend work as necessary for releases and essential technology functions. Such is the nature of the business. The company works hard to promote from within which happens often. This provides a 'sky is the limit' mindset.

Cons

Any fundamental and leadership changes which occur in a medium sized business will result in growing pains. I truly believe the people are FPI's most important asset.

Appreciate the feedback. Your comments are spot-on about changes, especially in a mid sized company. We move fast, sometimes faster than some folks are ready, but we love where we are today. FPI as the leader in Farm Credit technology, with all the right momentum. Thanks, Howard Bruck CEO

Pros

Everyone was very nice and outgoing great environment to work in and learn in. I Would go back the company had many fun events and I felt at home within the first week of being there.

Cons

The timing was unfortunate because they got a new manager on the same day I started so he didn't know how to guide me at first because he had started the same day I did.

Pros

Lot of good people working there when I was there. The folks who have been there the longest on the technical side are phenomenal and so supportive and patient.

Cons

The culture was very stressful. Everything was always an emergency. Developers were expected to do everyone's job and then of course also blamed for anything that went wrong. When I was there, the on call expectations were insane. From day one they made it clear that the expectation is that you will work way more than 40 hours/week (when there's an emergency! which was always) and not be paid well for it.
