Pros

Pay is decent for remote work Opportunities for growth Health insurance Benefits

Cons

Horrible training from start to finish. 2.5 weeks of training for licensing. Farmers new hire trainers harp about their training being the best in class, top notch. But they are using ExamFx to train you for the license. They don’t actually teach you anything. you’re logging into ExamFx and SELF LEARNING.. after you’ve done all the work and read everything yourself, they brief what you’ve read from ExamFx. No real training from the trainers at all! After you pass, you go into 3 weeks of job training, where again there’s no training on the systems you’re using. Basically a bunch of pointless mural board activities that literally everyone in the class hated. 100% of our training class wanted to quit. We were hanging on by thread because of the job market and knowing that finding another job would be hard in this economy. The recruiter and orientation reps all lied to us about the job duties. If you get hired to work in the advantage department, you will be a CSR from their legacy systems, Bristol West, Foremost and whatever else they want to throw at you. Basically, getting hired to do multiple things that was never mentioned in your interview. Lunch us only 30 min. No, and I mean absolutely NO work life balance!!! If you need to take PTO or schedule any time off within 2 weeks, you get penalized. It’s considered same day PTO if done within 2 weeks. The supervisors and peer support are condescending. Searching for help on the knowledge base system they use for help is useless. Don’t get me started with the agents. We were told in the interview that we would be helping the agents with issues. That’s NOT the case. You are actually taking the calls FOR the agents while they play golf and never answer the calls for the customers. If you absolutely NEED a job, apply here. If not, please save the stress and don’t waste your time. You will regret it. They have Percipio available to learn other skills, and obtain certs. BUT they don’t allow you to use it offline OR online. You have to ask for time to study lol.. what is the purpose is having it available if you can’t use it in your Dow time or after hours. At my last job, Percipio was available to use after work. You could download the app and study while off. Farmers BLOCKS this ability.

Pros

Work from home, make your own hours, fun claim types, starts off with great PTO allotment and you have access to all your hours from the moment you start with an extra week after five years

Cons

Good luck with your diaries if you use the PTO. You will come back with overdue items. The way they have their PTO backup system setup is two backup people for the whole department. There is too much work for them so they don't get to much while you are out. Usually voicemails. You can' schedule anything for while you are gone, all your claims have to wait for you to return. The amount of new claims a week has drastically increased and it isn't sustainable. They do expect you to work more than your 40 hours or recommend that you find a different job that isn't a salary position, PTO calendars are always red with blackout dates. Supervisors and the manager don't listen to actionable items presented to make the department better. The attrition is bad, but they continue to tell us we are fully staffed because our diaries aren't that bad yet. Adjusters are dropping like flies but won't hire anymore. Not sure if that comes from senior leadership or direct leadership. Ever since Jeff Dailey left, we are just numbers. No one cares about us anymore and it is evident.
