Pros
Benefits, team leads are great
Cons
Absolute TERRIBLE new CEO, Glassdoor currently still shows Jeff Dailey as the CEO but the new CEO is Raul Vargas and he is either a liar or a terrible person. The previous CEO promised that remote work was here to stay and Jeff Dailey was a great CEO, he never did anything to really upset the employees and he was wonderful. Once Raul came in, he decided to take away the one good thing Farmers Insurance has to offer which was remote work, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, pays their employees better and offers a more comprehensive benefits package. People mostly worked here because they knew the money they would save on gas and the work life balance made the lack of equal compensation worth it because that’s what matters more to people at the end of the day. The day he notified the company that if you were within 50 miles of an office, you were required to go into the office 3 days a week. There were thousands of comments on what he posted with employees BEGGING for him to reverse the decision because they have made life altering decisions due to the previous CEO promising remote work was there to stay. It was crushing to read comments from my coworkers saying how they just bought a house specifically with an office because of remote work or the fact that they sold their 2nd car because they thought it wouldn’t be needed but now they have to work out having to take children to school, 2 adults in the house working all with one car. No compensation was increased to offset the now 5-10k a year pay decrease everyone who this affects will be experiencing because of gas, car payment, car insurance. It is EVIL how he can read the thousands of his employees comments who make him his millions of dollars a year state that their lives just got turned upside down because of his decision and he can basically say “Oh well”. It is ridiculous and shows he does not truly care for people like he says so. He is a liar, and a bad person, do NOT work for Farmers, do NOT be insured with them, I hope whenever hundreds and hundreds of positions are left vacant and their employees who stay have an increased workload, finally realize that this company, at least under Raul Vargas, is a sinking ship and they too leave the company and then he’ll realize one bad decision and not fixing it will make him lose his millions of dollars a year. Do NOT work for farmers. #BringJeffBack
