Pros
Fun to design and make signs. When things are busy it's nice to be working on things and seeing them get installed and put around town. Learned a lot about the business and helped a lot of people.
Cons
The store I worked at was terribly mismanaged. These stores are small so if your manager is incompetent then you're left dealing with a lot of things they mess up on. My manager would often give me incorrect work orders or neglect to give me critical information about a job and would blame me for it. There was no one above him to complain to so I felt very stuck.
