Pros

I love the work, Onsite Team is very helpful.

Cons

I am working in Fastenal IDC from almost a year. Work wise OK, company wise OK. But the management is The Real Issue. I was recruited at the time of the Start-Up of the company and have promised me a lot of things. But after completing the year, when asked about those benefits the management has shown me The Middle Figure(Don't mind the words, Understand my Frustration Level). All the details about these Benefits were mentioned in the Employee Handbook and was also communicated to me by the HR at the time of the releasing the Offer and at the time of Joining. I am not concerned much about the benefits that was not given to me, but the way I have been Answered by New HR and Management was very unprofessional, which hurt me a lot. This has happened not just to me but all the Employees who have joined a year ago are facing the same issue. I have joined the company as it is a product based company where there will be huge importance to the Employee, but the Director and Management of IDC doesn’t really care about their Employee. IDC Management doesn't even know ABCs of Management. I have seen some Positive Reviews from IDC employees, Please don't get deceived by these +ve reviews, they are almost kind of PAID REVIEWS.

Pros

Great company culture, love the investment they put in for career advancement. Great people to work with, CEO is amazing but he's stepping down this month. Benefits are good. Decentralized organization so your ideas and solutions actually get listened to and implemented. Feel like I'm actually making a difference in the company.

Cons

Pay is lower than the industry average for most departments and they don't keep up with the cost of living, don't do bonuses (unless you're in sales) or pay raises. You have to ask to get one and most times they say no. Very male dominant at the branches and in sales, but many women in corporate leadership. Don't have any DEI initiatives. Not flexible on relocation for internal management roles, have to be at corporate HQ in Winona, MN.
