Pros

Competitive pay for retail. Gain experience with large format printing. Employee discount on most services, including free faxing and computer time; shipping discount is significant. Wide variety of colleagues.

Cons

Office politics run the show. Asking for a raise is tantamount to treason. Frequent off-site meetings at inconvenient locations (be prepared to drive a lot or charge up a large Uber bill). It's retail. Understaffed when it counts. They practice hiring 'filler' positions, where the most basic training is completely skipped, and you will have colleagues who don't know how to provide expected support when needed as a result. They expect you and your colleagues to 'know everything' but you have to make a point to get the proper training yourself. Not only will management not set aside time to train you properly, but if you were one of the unfortunates hired into a 'filler' position, management may even outright refuse to train you and simply park you in one section of the store. Despite this, you risk humiliation when a District or Regional Manager visits and asks you surprise questions you have no way of knowing the answers to. Be prepared to spend a lot of time helping customers who are digitally illiterate, and then be scolded for spending too much time with them. At least one manager consistently goes against policy, but is rewarded for it by corporate because it brings in money (specifically: He convinces customers to pay for package filler when it obviously isn't needed - Filler is NEVER needed in a FedEx Pak or Envelope). This is only one example of SOME (not all) of the types of people they promote to management. Expect horrible grammar in your evaluations, write-ups, and company emails. One manager asked me in an email to "reframe" from something. She would also often not understand basic words in text messages, consult a dictionary, still not understand the true meaning of the words, and then blow up a situation that should not have even existed because she thinks she's supposed to take offense.

Pros

Have a Strong staff and great customers -for the most part. Don't see my boss but 1-2 month.

Cons

The corp fluff to accomplish something. Setting all these goals and targets then forget about 90% until it's time to do the yearly "anonymous" survey. Then you see which stores had how many surveys done. 🙄 Keep it short and sweet it would be more effective. Have outstanding customer service but don't do anything personal in your store to recognize your customers. Be different but don't show it 😂 Working for Amazon now with no more pay. It benefits the store not us in our paychecks. At times unrealistic expectations with a high volume store and a staff of 4-5.
