Pros
A kick in the rear and quick at developing skills. Good way to connect with the many different people that keep FedEx going. Great when not understaffed.
Cons
Constantly short staffed. Never had a problem calling out, however, I always felt like I was in the wrong, as someone would now have to do a full day shift (Open to close) ~14 hours. They would now miss a break and a full lunch. But don't worry. They were prepared. You could close the store for 20 minutes if you were alone so that you could get something to eat. Which is barely enough time to pick up food, let alone eat and take the time you need from the insanely busy day. So, time now comes where I'm expecting a raise. You literally have to beg for any kind of raise, even though you single handedly ran the store multiple times. I don't blame the managers, as I had good connections with them. Until this is resloved, DO NOT WORK HERE. Unless you are willing to walk out in front of many customers, who have already been waiting upwards of 20 minutes to get to you. It will destroy your work live balance.
