Pros

Promotions. All the talent left the company for better pay, work environments, and quality of life. Federal-Mogul is a great stepping stone to get the promotion you want due to the vacant positions at all the plants and the corporate headquarters. The pay will not be competitive in salary but they are improving. Get the desired salary at signing because merit increases are insignificant if they happen at all. You will need to have thick skin and handle the constant barrage of verbal attacks as well as the high pressure and long days. Burn out is inevitable at all levels.

Cons

No recognition of people, toxic work environment, no investment in the future of people or the product, etc. Federal-Mogul executives manage the company like private equity firms manage their companies. They have no regard for people at all levels. They demand unrealistic workloads to the point that people have to work 12-14 hours per day and 7 days per week just to try to minimize abuse for not getting it all complete (the management style abroad for getting the most out of people). They focus exclusively on impressing investors as well as profitable growth with no support or vision of getting the desired improvements and they'll make drastic cuts of any kind to force bottom line improvements.
