-Wages have been reduced since 2009. -Benefits get stripped away a little more each year and medical insurance is getting much worse (particularly for those on prescription medication whom will end up paying out over $1000 more starting 2014). -Overall vacation hours have been reduced. -Mandatory overtime is constant. -Raises are rare. There was a five year period with no wage raises. -Nepotism runs rampant in the management. -Archaic business ideas, slow to stay current with recent trends. -There is very little communication between management and hourly workers and its even worse between shifts. -Most of the machinery is old and severely neglected. "Run it till it breaks" being the motto, regardless of safety concerns. Maintenance mainly consists of short term patch jobs resulting in the machines breaking down on a weekly basis. -Engineering department shows a lack of knowledge about the actual operations that are performed in each area, and even less about the machines that perform the work. -Very poor air quality with a lack of proper ventilation. In 10 years of working there I have seen an air filter get changed once and that was only because the collector attached to it broke down. -Flammable and caustic chemicals not handled properly and employees are not trained in proper handling/cleaning procedures. -Management frequently eliminate jobs and force hourly employees to different jobs/shifts. -Hourly employees often moved into other departments for months at a time because of open positions but refuse to hire more workers to fill these vacancies. -Outdated computers, network, and gauges. -Favoritism between management and select hourly workers causes a very hostile work environment.
