Pros
As a 15+ year "Home Office" employee I have greatly appreciated the strong family like culture the company maintains and the incredible growth and improvement during those 15 years. One of the reasons for a strong culture is that the company is a "work from work" company. That is not for everyone. However, for the most part, all employees have a genuine sense of trying to help each other out as best they can to solve the problem. The company does have high expectations for employees. 5 stars does not mean perfect, but the company and its leadership certainly strives to be. Benefits are world-class for a private employer (the pension is real, "open" and overfunded, and I get paid to carry health insurance when factoring in the HSA deposits they make to my account). Great improvements regarding Diversity and Inclusion over the past half decade.
Cons
Because of its size and the industry (insurance companies are by nature cautious) change can be slow. It is also a "work from work" company which will turn off some qualified candidates.
