Pros

Most of the people are good to work with

Cons

Management team has unrealistic expectations and hired in a bunch of people from Nestle' that came in thinking the culture was the same, and it wasn't. They are trying to force all of the Nestle' processes onto the workers without the proper infrastructure in place. It is frustrating and stressing out the employees to try to meet the expectations of the new managers when the tools are not available to do the job. I started working here because I liked the culture of a family owned business, but now it is only about the money and how much you can cut and how hard you can drive the workers. There is a reason the turnover is so high. They don't care if they burn you out because they know there are more suckers out there waiting for the chance to stab someone in the back to get ahead. And HR is a joke. They are only concerned with keeping their friends employed and protected. There is no training or guidance for supervisors, which leads to a lot of favoritism and nepotism. There is no real opportunity for advancement unless you are a 30 year old male with an engineering degree. There are no women in management on the manufacturing side of the business. So if you are a woman, don't bother, you might get hired, but it is a dead end.

Pros

Iconic brands Capable coworkers Cool office, and good location Real opportunities to build tangible experience

Cons

Very cut throat / unforgiving culture Poor work / life balance Poor IT systems Unrealistic deadlines, “Ferrara Fast” High employee turnover Most work is churn at the corporate level, does not feed into proper decisions / strategy execution at the executive level Short term performance management, worse than Private Equity companies. Week to week performance reviews of the business, leading to substandard results in market and serious risk of long term underperformance
