Pros

Pay and benefits (vision, health, paid holiday)

Cons

No internal support to accomplish company, department, or individual goals. High turnover. Constant software issues and changes. No adequate training. No opportunity for advancement. Micromanagement. Unhealthy work environment. Heartbreaking to watch contract to hires ‘fail’ due to inadequate training that are working hard to get hired over and over and over companywide. Pressure to work unpaid overtime to meet individual goals and the amount of work to get a raise just isn’t worth it. Understaffed severely in all areas. No accountability lends to a toxic work environment.

Pros

Iconic brands Capable coworkers Cool office, and good location Real opportunities to build tangible experience

Cons

Very cut throat / unforgiving culture Poor work / life balance Poor IT systems Unrealistic deadlines, “Ferrara Fast” High employee turnover Most work is churn at the corporate level, does not feed into proper decisions / strategy execution at the executive level Short term performance management, worse than Private Equity companies. Week to week performance reviews of the business, leading to substandard results in market and serious risk of long term underperformance
