Pros

I really enjoyed working with people in the offices. You can’t beat a free lunch everyday if you work at the plants (Forest park and Bellwood) only. The dress code jeans every day at the plant.

Cons

- Private equity owned - No room for advancement unless if you are a Catterton or liked by the group. - Literally no one understands one person's job function other than a select few. - Chases EBITA. Thats all that matters. - Little to no on boarding, you come off the bench your first day. - Upper management goes back on their decisions too many times because nobody wants to stick their necks out and just make a decision. - zero process towards commercialization of projects from start to finish, everyone and groups are on their own page. - Every plant is against each other and vice versa with people who sit at the Tower in OBT. - Constant finger pointing on a day to day basis. - Warehouse inventory control is non-existent. - The software systems (SAP) values are completely incorrect from packaging to raw materials to make product. - Zero work life balance. If an issue arises on the weekend or past 5pm it’s in your best interest to respond. - If you come from a structured environment, please do yourself a favor and stay

Pros

Iconic brands Capable coworkers Cool office, and good location Real opportunities to build tangible experience

Cons

Very cut throat / unforgiving culture Poor work / life balance Poor IT systems Unrealistic deadlines, “Ferrara Fast” High employee turnover Most work is churn at the corporate level, does not feed into proper decisions / strategy execution at the executive level Short term performance management, worse than Private Equity companies. Week to week performance reviews of the business, leading to substandard results in market and serious risk of long term underperformance
