Pros

Good pay if you are from a low income state. Working in groups no less than 3. Outside. Enjoy small highway towns.

Cons

Random hours. Expect to stay until 10pm on site some days. 10-12 Weeks to visit home for one week. (They say its 6:1 week but its not) Per-Diem doesnt always cover living costs. Events can fill hotels, I had to leave a hotel 5 times at one site to find avaliability. Living in hotels. Long Drives, you do not fly often. Sharing transporation with other workers, to and from work. Getting your own truck is like pulling teeth for over a year. Coworkers can be ok but managment and leads are generally pretty toxic and mentally unwell. Power trips or smashing equpiment in anger/short fuses. Repeating tasks everyday for your entire site time, ie bolt tighten and grease clean everyday for 5 months straight, 9 hours a day. IT is awful and computers have issues everytime. I had to contact IT about 70% of the time when I had to input my hours and time. I couldnt connect to the network and IT just did KNOW HOW to fix it so I had to use other workers computers.
