Pros
High Salaries, Work From Home, a really high bar for hiring (none of your co-workers will make you go *arggggggggg*), and more transparency than a typical organization. A big focus on open source (both using open source code and participating in the community). Very fast development iterations and every developer can push code to production (after a code review and merge). Reasonable toolsets for development (Jenkins, Github, automated tests, eslint for linting, etc.) Senior Management are all coders themselves and understand the challenges of being a front-line engineer.
Cons
As a small company, not a lot of time at Action Verb is spent on leadership, mentorship, and "managing people." The company as it stands today is really built more for senior and high level people with relevant experience than for junior people who need a lot of hand holding. The company does seem to appreciate that this is a problem is actively working on improving this element. You may spend a fair amount of your time conducting interviews as well because the company is very actively hiring and growing. This should hopefully get better as more people join because they can spread out the interview load.
