Pros
You learn a ton about the fintech space and analyze interesting companies that are out to market. Research analysts get to wear many different hats so they develop a broad skillset, but no expertise.
Cons
Culture isn't great. The management team is vindictive, which is demonstrated by their clawbacks and bad mouthing people when they leave. Research analysts get a lot of cumbersome administrative tasks and are expected to work the same hours as investment banking analysts even though they are paid significantly less. Management has little interest in the analysts career development.
