Pros
In over 5 years and under a few different leadership and ownership umbrellas Misys and now Finastra has managed to remain my employer of choice. The list of reasons include: - available opportunities to move towards the desired career goal (yes, I had to word that goal and ask for opportunities, there is no one at the door asking you if you want to grow) - the best work environment you can get; which includes some of the smartest people i had the chance to meet - being comfortable with change takes a bit of getting used to but I've always looked for a dynamic environment where there is always something more and better to focus on. If you enjoy smooth sailing and being told what you need to do this might not the the place for you, but if you have the drive to make things happen there will be plenty of people willing to support you.
Cons
With a high flexibility and openness to change also comes the occasional confusion, lack of clarity and unfit processes. Not all our leaders have been well equipped to lead their teams through change or to create a real direction. Life at Finastra is probably not the same across all business areas.
