Pros
While no company was perfect, prior to the acquistion/merger with Misys D+H was a reasonable operation where most people worked together to achieve some great things. We had a lot of dedicated, smart and committed employees who all worked towards the same goal. Pay was fair, the work/life balance was reasonable and the work itself was reasonable.
Cons
Post merger/acquisition the culture took a significant downturn. Every decision made seemed to simply be about cost cutting with no real strategy behind it. Plus, while it was billed as a "merger" it was really a hostile takeover as many, many strong D+Hers either were let go or were put in a position where they had no choice but to quit. Constructive feedback was either dismissed or held against you and it became all about CYA and not much more. Sad that it came to that as I never realized how good the culture was until it was gone.
