Pros

Good people in the field who want to do good work

Cons

Corporate management is composed of people who think they know everything and have no interest in speaking with or getting feedback from employees to find out what actually is happening. The ego's and corporate jostling for power is terrible. Honestly don't think they care about employees and there is nothing here but a paycheck, They don't care about vendors or learning about new industry trends. Pride themselves on NOT going to trade shows (and boast about it) to see the latest equipment and products. They have been promoting the same equipment that hasn't been updated in a decade. There is no org chart so really have no idea who to go to for answers and when you do, you'll get different answers from different people, With Human Resources. may or may not get a call back with an employee issue and 75 branches have ONE person they can call. Who needs a Human Resource department when it takes 2 to 3 days to get a call back? Employees want to do a good job but it has nothing to do with pride in the company, its just a paycheck. 75 million dollar company ran like a million dollar company.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We genuinely appreciate hearing from our employees as it provides valuable insights into our operations and areas we can improve. While we regret that your experience has led to such a strong critique, we would like to address some of the points you've raised. Regarding your concerns about corporate management, we strive to foster a culture of open communication and collaboration. We understand that communication is key, and we are continually working to improve these channels. It's unfortunate that you've perceived ego and power struggles within the company. Our leadership team is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive work environment, and we are taking steps to ensure that all team members feel valued and respected. Any specific instances of unprofessional behavior should be reported so they can be addressed promptly. Regarding industry engagement, while we may not attend every trade show, we are committed to staying abreast of industry trends and innovations. We have strategic partnerships with several leading industry organizations and regularly invest in new technologies and training programs to ensure our equipment and practices remain current and competitive. The claim that we haven't updated our equipment in a decade is inaccurate. We have made significant investments in modernizing our tools and processes, and we are proud of the advancements we've achieved. Inconsistencies in obtaining information is a valid concerns, however we do have an org chart. We are currently in the process of improving our internal communication tools, including a more comprehensive and easily accessible org chart, to ensure everyone knows who to contact for specific issues. Regarding Human Resources, we acknowledge the need for timely responses and are working hard to ensure we can get back to employees timely. We are implementing new systems to ensure quicker response times and more efficient handling of employee concerns. We believe that our employees are our greatest asset, and we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels motivated and valued. We recognize that there is always room for improvement and are actively seeking ways to enhance the employee experience. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

First Choice is a great company to work for with lots of opportunities to grow! The company is expanding fast, so there are always new positions opening up. I would say its collaborative work culture. A nice perk is the free snacks & coffee, some locations even have ice cream machines. The benefits and 401(k) are solid too. Overall, a great place to build a career!

Cons

PTO accrual could be improved

Pros

insurance, they pay be the hour, 8 hour work day

Cons

the time off and pay need some work. it shouldn't take 10 years to get 3 week of vacation. They need to care about the employees we all feel like just a #. A little bit of recognition goes a long way.
