Pros

This Job pays $11.50\hour for Construction post and $12.50\hour for Core post. $15\hour for Control room operator and $16\hour for a shift supervisor. Only the Control room operator has to do a lot of work. These are set in stone. No raises.

Cons

Security guards are at the bottom of the pecking order and they will never let you forget it. You will be disrespected on an almost daily bases. Management is very lazy. They won't do any work they don't absolutely have to do themselves, they will just make there subordinates do as much of there work as possible so they can sit in the control room or the the patrol vehicle and play with their phone all day. Security guards on the other hand are forbidden to have their phones on the site. This place is a very strict high security site. Security guards are the only people expected to leave their phones in their car, even in winter. If your caught on site with your phone, even if its turned off, you could be fired. Door alarms are a common event and if you cause an alarm you get a write up. Everyone, including Security Guards are put through metal detectors, wanded and searched multiple times a day. Many guards come to place with enthusiasm but after awhile of being disrespected and not appreciated they give up trying and start looking for a new job.

Pros

The management team is on point Ms Ashley is a great listener she makes accommodations for you and she's a a go-to kind of person can go to her for anything that you have need of and she tries her best to fix whatever situation you find yourself in. And they do hire within they promote within so if you looking for a promotion this is the company they don't go outside before they ask they employees it's already there

Cons

I don't like not being able to utilize my phone when there's nothing to do but dry sit in the Cold office it's like a jail cell

This means a great deal to read. It is wonderful to hear that you feel genuinely supported and listened to — that is exactly the kind of leadership we work to build. Promoting from within is a real commitment for us, so we are glad you have seen it firsthand. Your point about downtime is a fair one, and we understand it. Post policies are often set by our clients and their security requirements, but thank you for the feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and for the work you do everyday!

Pros

Very high pay compared to other security roles in Central Florida.

Cons

3 month probationary. Might not hire you on unless you have law enforcement military experience or years of armed security work. Also won't receive a post until you bid for one, but seniority matters.

Thank you for this, and for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad the pay reflects the value of the work — our officers earn it. You've also described our hiring and bidding process fairly: we set a high bar because our clients count on it, and seniority-based bidding rewards the people who've invested in us. We always appreciate feedback and thank you for the work you do!
