Pros

Job Security- Pay is so low & benefits are so bad (useless & expensive) that FIRST STUDENT always needs drivers. Also few people can afford to complete the non-paid training (illegal) and months of waiting to start driving buses for actual pay.

Cons

Lied to frequently about pay. When hired people are told, that work will soon be available and that training is paid for. I was hired in May- it is now September & although I have passed background/drug tests and now have a CDL- I still have no paid work- I was required to "train" for 5 days last week for no pay- I asked to get off a little early for my other Friday night job, and FIRST STUDENT threatened to un-hire me. I am now starting another week of no pay training. I have had nearly 20 days of non-paid training. There is no legal no pay training in the US. Co
