This results in trainees effectively standing by to hear about their schedule. - Insurance coverage is next to nothing. - No job protection, job is at will, no guaranteed hours for routes. Unlike competitive school districts which guarantee a minimum amount of hours per week + good coverage. First Student takes the opposite approach and tries to weedle down employee hours and earnings.
