Not good - Real Estate Agent First Team Real Estate Employee Review

I worked for a “team” at First Team who I will keep anonymous. They were keeping everyone 1099 and commission based only however treating people as employees with a required schedule, required hours, required team meanings, making you use required company software, do open houses, without paying a minimum wage and claimed it was all because the real estate business is commission based. If that is the case the law requires the individuals be treated like contractors and not 1900. You can get into serious legal trouble making people work for free and mis classifying. The legal standard is based on how the individual is treated, are they treated as an employee or a 1099? And that is how you must classify. Don’t put up with that crap.
